Dermal Fillers

Juvéderm dermal fillers in Maidenhead

Dr Alshafi uses dermal fillers to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and revitalize the skin, whilst improving contour and creating volume. We use Juvéderm, a leading range of dermal fillers, which is injected into the skin, gently easing the effects of ageing, smoothing over, filling and plumping-out lines, resulting in a more youthful, natural appearance.

Dermal fillers are long lasting but not permanent; a single treatment usually lasts between nine and 12 months, depending on your lifestyle, skin type or age.

Dermal fillers are particularly effective around the lip and mouth area and for eyes and deep lines along the brow. Fillers can also add shape and fullness to your lips, and give you an instantly rejuvenated look.

Because every face is unique all our patients undergo a full consultation with Dr Alshafi who will advise on the best procedure for you. Before he performs any treatment, he will talk you through every step so you are fully prepared.

Healthy skin has natural chemicals and sugars that keep it looking plump, supple and youthful. One of these is hyaluronic acid. Over time you lose more and more hyaluronic acid in your skin, which leads to fine lines, wrinkles and creases. Dermal fillers are made from a highly purified form of hyaluronic acid. When injected just below the surface of the skin, they mimic the effects of natural hyaluronic acid. They add volume to your skin and help to smooth out your lines, wrinkles and creases.

The treatment is only temporary and lasts around 6 months, so we recommend a regular treatment plan. Your practitioner can talk you through this during your consultation.

The most common areas we treat are:

  • Smile lines around your nose and mouth
  • Marionette lines at the corners of your mouth
  • Fine lines above your mouth
  • Frown lines between your eyes
  • You can also use dermal fillers on your lips to make them fuller.
